Why won't Lattice software recognize "ES" type devices in a Project File?
When you load an existing project file into a new version of ispLever or Diamond, you may get a message of the type:
"This 'EDIF' project was last saved with Device
'LFE2M35E-5F484CES', which is not supported by this installation
of ispLEVER."
The 'LFE2M35E-5F484CES' device above refers to engineering sample ("ES" ending). The basic installation of ispLever does not support ES devices because these devices are only shipped in the early stages of development. ES devices are not appropriate for most customers, especially after production devices are available.
If you believe that your device is an "ES" (please check marking on part) then Lattice can provide a control pack that you can install to enable this device in Project Navigator. Otherwise, please change the the device type to 'LFE2M35E-5F484C' (remove ES ending) in your project file.
