In our continuous quest to provide our users with the best design tools possible, we are very excited to announce the latest release of the Lattice Diamond software. The Diamond 3.10 software continues to focus on low power consumption with various power-aware design methods, supports a broader range of automotive products, and offers increased productivity and better user experience via the improved logic analyzer tool.

Here are some of the new functions:

The Diamond 3.10 software extends the power-efficient design flow to more product families. User can now effectively disable input buffer for unused or output only I/Os in MachXO2, MachXO3, and ECP5/ECP5-5G families.

Next, the new software update further improves package type dependent calculations for CrossLink FPGA power calculator functions and further improves the accuracy of the high order mathematical modeling equation for a better silicon correlated model.

In the area of automotive support, Lattice Diamond 3.10 enables a wide range of automotive qualified ECP5 FPGA products in general availability. This includes ECP5U-12K, ECP5UM-25K, ECP5UM-45K with both, -6 & -7 speed grade in 381caBGA packages. This new update gives design resource flexibility for automotive applications.

When it comes to increasing productivity, the logic analyzer offers an improved user experience in a complex system setup by providing intuitive user operational fault guidance and feedback. It also enables more effective self-troubleshooting process for the complex system setup.

As you can see, the new update comes with many great benefits. But don’t take our word for it. Go ahead and test it out yourself.
