The Lattice Diamond software comes with a default tool setting which allows you to evaluate LatticeCORE IPs even if you do not have a valid license for it. You will be able to generate bitstream and run it on the hardware for a limited time, approximately four hours.
To confirm quickly:
- Select your active strategy in the "File List" tab of Lattice Diamond design software
- Select "Translate Design" and set "Hardware Evaluation" field to DISABLE from the drop down menu
- Implement the design as usual
During "Export Files", a License check will be performed. If a license for your IP is not found, the tool will display a pop-up with the "License checkout failed" message.
