My design includes mature devices, how long will they be available?
Parts listed as mature are often times still available for purchase long after
being listed as mature. The mature status indicates that newer devices are
available that would better suit today's designs. Mature devices remain available
for as long as there are sufficient quantities purchased over the device lifetime.
Lattice can not predict how long customers will continue to purchase mature
devices, so it is in your best interest to begin implementing new designs with
the newer devices as soon as is reasonable. Lattice will begin a PCN (Product Change Notice) phase for mature devices once Lattice's marketing group is able to predict when the device will be phased out. Once it is decided to phase out that mature device, a PCN will be sent out with 6 months to place last time buy orders and an additional 6 months to take delivery of those orders.
