When you scan the device in
ispVM System, first click Options-->Cable and I/O port setup window then set the Cable Type to USB, and click OK to finish the cable setting. After this setting, you can click scan to get the right device.
Lattice doesn't recommend using ispVM System software since this is an old software. Use the latest Software from Lattice i.e. Lattice Diamond Programmer for programming all the devices.
