Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC)

  • eARC is an audio link that is self-discovering, self-configuring, and fully automatic which sends audio backwards in the HDMI cable, from the TV to an audio device.
  • Automatically works with any video source the television is displaying.
  • Is automatically detected and the TV speaker automatically mutes when eARC is engaged.

AVR/Sound Bar (receives eARC)

  • Block Diagram with Sil9347 eARC Receiver (32-pin QFN)
  • With eARC, audio transmission is reverse direction.
  • An HDMI Transmitter in the audio device receives audio over the two eARC pins.
