To activate a license file for your LATTICE FPGA software TOOL
|
- Log in to the Lattice website. Go to Support → Software Licensing →
Licensing Support Center.
- Click Visit the Portal.
- Go to Activation & Entitlements → Register for Evaluation
or Free Licenses.
Note: If you purchased a subscription license, it will appear on
the Entitlements page.
- Select the desired license and click Register.
- Go back to Activation & Entitlements → View Entitlements.
Note: If you purchased a subscription license, it will appear on the
Entitlements page — then follow the steps below to activate it.
- Select the license you want to activate → Actions → Activate.
- Add ship-to email → Next → Add or select host (ETHERNET) → Generate.
- The activated license will show in License Summary. You can select View →
Save to File or Email license.
- Place the .lic file in the directory specified during installation.

QuestaSim, ModelSim & Synplify Pro
|
|
To activate a license file for QuestaSim, ModelSim, and Synplify Pro
|
- Follow the same steps 1–3 as in Lattice FPGA Software Tool
license generation instruction.
- Select either Siemens QuestaSim Lattice FPGA Edition,
Siemens ModelSim Lattice FPGA Edition, or Synopsys Synplify
Pro Lattice FPGA Edition (node-locked or floating) and click Register.
- Go back to Activation & Entitlements → View Entitlements.
- Select the license you want to activate → Actions → Activate.
- Add ship-to email → Next → Add or select host (ETHERNET) → Generate.
- The activated license will show in License Summary.
You can select View → Save to File or Email license.
- Place the .lic file in the directory specified during installation.

Lattice Radiant supports license files generated from both legacy licensing systems and the current Lattice Licensing Portal powered by FlexNet Operations (FNO). Depending on when a license was generated, its format may differ from examples shown in older installation guides.
