Yes, there is. I2C hardware verification utilities are available and can be accessed via Tools ->Design Utilities in the PAC Designer.
A parallel port programming/download cable can be used to test the features available with most Lattice mixed-signal devices. The USB Download cable can also be used to test the features for the POWR1220AT8 devices.
