Scalable, ultra-high-performance, hardware JPEG encoder can compress high pixel-rate video using significantly fewer resources and less power than encoders for video compression standards, such as HEVC/H,265, DSC, AVC/H.264, or JPEG2000.

JPEG-EX-F encoder produces compressed JPEG images and video for Motion JPEG container formats from images with up to 12-bit color samples and four color components.

  • Single-frame JPEG images and Motion JPEG payloads for any image size up to 64K x 64K with programmable Huffman tables and quantization tables
  • Multiple interface support such as AXI streaming pixel compressed stream interfaces and APB control/status interface
  • High performance synthesis time and configurable/scalable throughput with up to 32 samples per clock cycle
  • Easy-to-integrate automatic program-once/encode-many operation and simple, dedicated timestamps interface
  • Bit-accurate software model generates test vectors, expected results, and core programming values
