Power Management solutions from Lattice deliver highly accurate, flexible, and low cost solutions for power supply and processor/DSP management. By integrating a versatile PLD core with Analog-to-Digital (ADC) converter, Digital-to-Analog Converters (DAC), differential sense analog monitors, I2C communication, and in-system programmability (isp), Lattice power management devices increase board reliability, decrease component count, and help cut costs. Three power management families: ProcessorPM, Power Manager II, and Power Manager address a variety of applications – all in a single low-cost chip.
Processor Power Management
- ProcessorPM - POWR605 is a general-purpose power-supply monitor, reset generator and watchdog timer, solution in non-volatile E2CMOS technology. The ProcessorPM is delivered with a default configuration to handle most processor (DSP, FPGA, and ASIC) monitor, reset, and timer management scenarios. No additional programming is required. See example applications in the ProcessorPM - POWR605 Product Brochure.
Board-Level Power Management
- Power Manager II devices are the second generation of the Power Manager family. They contain precision threshold comparators for monitoring power supplies for faults, a 10-bit Analog-to-Digital (ADC) converter for measuring power supply voltages, Digital-to-Analog Converters (DAC) to control power supply output voltages, programmable logic to intelligently control power supply sequencing and generation of supervisory signals, programmable timers for controlling the speed of the power supply turn on/off process, charge pumped drivers for driving n-Channel MOSFETs, digital inputs for controlling and monitoring system-level signals, and an I2C interface. See example applications in the Power Manager II and ispClock Application Examples Brochure.
- POWR1220AT8 monitors up to 12 circuit board power supplies, provides up to 20 open-drain digital outputs, and 8 trim/margin outputs. Offers a highly integrated solution for power supply monitoring, trimming and voltage measurement.
- POWR1014/A monitors up to 10 circuit board power supplies and provides up to 14 open-drain digital outputs. Integrates power-supply monitoring and sequence control.
- POWR6AT6 margin and trim up to 6 power supplies.
- POWR607 monitors up to 6 circuit board power supplies and provides up to 7 open-drain digital outputs.
