Some older Lattice IP cores require configuration by the Lattice engineering team. This process works as follows: 1. Use the IPexpress tool (included with ispLEVER software) to generate a ".lpc" file. This file describes how you want the IP core configured. 2. Contact your Lattice Sales Representative to make the official configuration request. They might have additional questions about how your design environment is set up. 3. Lattice will deliver an IP netlist configured to your specification. You can use this netlist to instantiate into your design and perform functional verification. To enable full timing simulation or hardware programming, an IP license is required. If you decide to purchase this netlist, that process is the same as with IPexpress cores. Your Lattice Sales Representative can help you with this. The following Tutorial provides more information about Factory-Configurable IP cores. The tutorial information is available in two forms. 1. Stand-Alone Quick-Start Tutorial This .pdf text version can be viewed and downloaded from this webpage. Just click on the link above. This is a "Graduate-Level" guide for users who are already familiar with the Lattice software tools flow. For more information on using ispLeverCORE IP in the ispLEVER tools, please consult the Tutorials that are available in ispLEVER's On-Line Help (Advanced Tutorials, Generating Parameterized Modules and IP Cores, Module 2: Downloading and Evaluating ispLeverCORE Modules). 2. Interactive Quick-Start Tutorial This HTML version is available for some ispLeverCORE modules. It links to the IP core's ReadMe file to provide a one-stop reference to all of the core's usage documentation. How to Install the Interactive Version
