The Versa Kit empowers designers to build both PCI Express and Gigabit Ethernet based systems. The Kit offers free design tools, readymade demos, reference designs, a versatile evaluation board, and a serial programming cable. The evaluation board features an LFE3-35EA-8FN484C FPGA device, 64 Mbit SPI Flash, 1Gbit DDR3 memory, expansion headers, several LEDs, and user switches. It contains a PCI Express x1 (Half-length form-factor), two RJ45, and 4 SMA interfaces.
If you currently do not have access to Lattice's award-winning Diamond Design Software, then Lattice would like to offer you a free Diamond license for the Versa Kit. This offer is valid only during the limited time promotion of the Versa Kit. The Diamond license will allow you to run the demos and build your own systems. The instructions for downloading the latest version of Diamond and obtaining a free license are listed in the Versa Kit Resources section below. Please note that this free license is valid for Diamond versions 1.2 or later and can be used only with the LatticeECP3 Versa Development Kit.
