ispVM System - Device Programming Software

Users can now use Diamond Programmer for easy normal device programming. Diamond Programmer is fully integrated into Diamond and is also available as a standalone application. Diamond Programmer tool simplifies the most common steps:

• Setting up device information (cable, port etc)
• Selecting the programming data file to use
• Single project supports programming single or multiple devices
• For more advanced programming tasks, ispVM is the tool of choice.

ispVM System is provided with Lattice Diamond, and is also available as a stand-alone device programming manager. The ispVM System™ is a comprehensive design download package that provides an efficient method of programming Lattice devices using JEDEC and Bitstream files generated by Lattice Diamond, ispLEVER, PAC-Designer, and other design tools. This complete device programming tool allows the user to quickly and easily download designs to devices through an ispSTREAM™, and includes features that facilitate ispATE™, ispTEST™, and ispSVF™ programming as well as gang-programming with DLxConnect™ and numerous other features and related utilities.

The ispVM System software supports both serial and TURBO ispDOWNLOAD™ programming in a PC environment. The user interface is a straightforward GUI, designed to help users automatically scan a system board, select required programming files, and execute the appropriate programming algorithms.

This tool supports programming of all Lattice and other devices that are compliant with the IEEE 1149.1 standard through a vendor supplied SVF file. This version of the ispVM System also supports IEEE 1532 ISC Data file generation for Lattice ispJTAG™ devices.

The ispVM System software can also generate VME files supporting both ispJTAG and non-Lattice JTAG files compliant to the IEEE 1149.1 standard, and support SVF or IEEE 1532 formats. The VME file is used to support ispVM Embedded programming. The VME file is a hex coded file that takes the chain information from the ispVM System window and can then be encoded with the source code provided for embedded programming.
