Overview

Serial RapidIO is a low pin count, point-to-point, high-speed, scalable interconnect technology that can be easily adapted across a wide range of DSP, networking, telecommunications, and embedded applications. Like many high-speed serial interconnect technologies, it employs a layered protocol structure which can easily be implemented in FPGAs.

The LatticeSC device family offers pre-engineered and optimized support for the Serial RapidIO protocol through its innovative flexiPCS (Physical Coding Sublayer) and embedded SERDES blocks, enabling the ability to rapidly develop and deploy FPGA-based system solutions. Lattice and Mercury have teamed together to offer a solution that combines Mercury's advanced expertise in Serial RapidIO technology with LatticeSC FPGA device innovation.

Attend this webcast and learn about:

  • Serial RapidIO interconnect fundamentals and applications
  • How Serial RapidIO compares with other high-speed interconnect technologies
  • High-performance Serial RapidIO x1 and x4 endpoint IP cores from Mercury for the LatticeSC FPGA family
  • Integration of the Serial RapidIO PHY Layer in LatticeSC devices for higher performance
  • SERDES channel support to support high-speed connectivity
