Overview

FPGAs have a key role to play in the next generation Ethernet services cards. The high-speed SERDES and embedded ASIC functionality in the LatticeSC/M family of FPGAs provide customers with a highly flexible programmable platform for implementing high performance yet low power and low cost bridging solutions for Ethernet applications. Some of the applications that will be covered are XAUI to SPI4.2 bridging, n x SGMII to SPI4.2 bridging, etc.
