Overview

Two competing initiatives are currently underway to facilitate the more rapid development of cellular base stations. Both CPRI and OBSAI standards were formed by the need to standardize base station interconnects in order to lower overall system costs.

Lattice has two silicon platforms that support CPRI and OBSAI, the low cost ECP2M family and the extreme performance LatticeSC devices. Both families have integrated physical layer functionality and provide a range of array sizes to support data link and transport layer soft logic implementations.

In addition to the physical layer hard IP in the silicon platforms, Lattice also has a soft IP cores available for CPRI and OBSAI that implement/support data link layer functionality.
