LATTICE ispLEVER 6.1 SERVICE PACK 1 NOW AVAILABLE

-- Latest Update Adds Support For LatticeECP2M20 Device and 32-bit Embedded Processor
Ports to LatticeSC/M and LatticeXP Families --

HILLSBORO, OR - January 2, 2007 - Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC) today announced the immediate release of its latest ispLEVER® design tool suite update, version 6.1 Service Pack 1. This release includes expanded support for the recently announced LatticeECP2M™ FPGA family, including the LatticeECP2M20 and LatticeECP2M35 devices. LatticeECP2M FPGAs are the industry’s only low-cost FPGAs with massive on-board memory and integrated 3.125 Gbps SERDES. This release also includes the latest OEM versions of Mentor Graphics’ Precision RTL and Synplicity’s Synplify synthesis design tools, part of Lattice’s complete FPGA design solutions.

This Service Pack 1 release also includes, for the first time, LatticeMico32™ embedded microprocessor support for the Extreme Performance™ LatticeSC™ and LatticeSCM™ FPGA families, as well as the low-cost, non-volatile LatticeXP™ FPGA family. The LatticeMico32 soft microprocessor is an Open Source IP core that can be used to implement a 32-Bit RISC microprocessor-based system-on-chip (SoC), including a processor and peripherals. In addition, a new 10/100 Ethernet MAC function has been added to an already robust portfolio of LatticeMico32 peripherals. Finally, ispTRACY™ in-system debug capability supporting LatticeMico32-based designs also is available in this Service Pack.

The ispLEVER version 6.1 Service Pack 1 release is available for download through Lattice’s ispUPDATE utility, part of the ispLEVER tool set, or from the Lattice website at: http://www.latticesemi.com.
