Lattice's Mixed-Signal Power Manager Family is One of EDN's Hot 100 Products of 2003

- Power Manager Family Receives Multiple Awards During 2003 -

Hot Products - EDNHILLSBORO, OR - DECEMBER 19, 2003 - Lattice Semiconductor Corporation, (NASDAQ: LSCC), industry leading supplier of in-system programmable devices, today announced that EDN has named its revolutionary ispPAC Power Manager mixed-signal programmable products as one of its "Hot 100 Products of 2003".

Product of the Year - Electronic Products"The best 100 products of 2003 encompass a range of architectures and technologies and a plethora of categories-from analog ICs to multimedia to test-and-measurement tools. All are innovative, but, of the thousands that manufacturers announce each year and the hundreds that EDN reports about, only about 100 hot products really make our readers sit up and take notice. Here are the picks from this year's crop," said EDN in its Hot 100 Products of 2003 report.

In addition to EDN's recognition during the year 2003, Lattice's Power Manager devices have also claimed the"Product of the Year" award fromElectronic Products magazine, and the"Electron d'Or" award given by the French electronics publication Electronique for the most innovative programmable semiconductor product concept.

"We are pleased with the number of independent awards recognizing our revolutionary Power Manager solution," said Stan Kopec, Lattice vice president of corporate marketing. "The devices' parametric superiority, integration and programmability are enabling system designers to standardize their power management approach across all their PCBs, eliminating time-consuming ad hoc approaches. The benefit to the user is immediately apparent."

Product of the Year - Electron d'OrLattice's Power Manager devices provide a standard, off-the-shelf programmable mixed-signal solution for power management that enhances reliability and speeds time-to-market. Analog features such as input comparator thresholds and digital functions such as supply control sequences are programmed into non-volatile E2CMOS elements on the devices using an IEEE1149.1 boundary scan protocol.

Applications for Power Manager devices span all types of electronic equipment, including telecom and networking systems, storage systems, servers, test equipment and automotive electronics. Their programmable features make them ideal for controlling multiple power supplies in conjunction with a wide range of regulator and switching technologies.
