Lattice Semiconductor Programmable Analog IC Wins Best-of-Show Award at Sensors Expo

  • Unique Single-Chip Analog IC is In-System ProgrammableTM

Winner - Sensors Expo

ANAHEIM, CA - MAY 22, 2000 - Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC) today announced that a member of itsispPAC family of Programmable Analog Circuit monolithic ICs, the ispPAC80 in-system programmable continuous-time fifth-order filter, was named Best-of-Show at the Sensors Expo and Motion Control tradeshow in Anaheim, CA. The ispPAC80 allows users to derive tens of thousands of different fifth-order precision filters from a single compact IC in a few seconds.

The Sensors Expo award recognizes an innovative new product that will have a positive impact in the sensor industry. The editors of Sensors magazine, the leading publication in the sensors industry for over 16 years, made the award. The awards ceremony is co-sponsored by Sensors magazine and Advanstar Communications.

"We are very pleased our ispPAC80 device was recognized as one of the most innovative products at the show," said Andy Robin, VP of New Venture Business for Lattice. "We want engineers to know that the ispPAC80 product can make their jobs easier by integrating all analog components necessary to easily implement a huge range of 50 kHz - 500 kHz low-pass filters. And the search engine built into the PAC-Designer software allows an engineer to quickly find the desired filter characteristics, see the resulting simulation, and download the design into the chip. If changes are desired, the chip can be reprogrammed instantly."

About Lattice Semiconductor

Oregon-based Lattice Semiconductor Corporation designs, develops and markets the broadest range of high-performance ISPTM programmable logic devices (PLDs) and offers total solutions for today's advanced logic designs. Lattice introduced in-system programmability to the logic industry in 1992. In June 1999, Lattice acquired Vantis, the corporation that invented the PAL device and PLD switch matrix architecture, from AMD. With nearly double the R&D and sales resources, the resulting integrated company will focus on delivering logic products that satisfy the performance, density and ease-of-use requirements of its customers.

Lattice products are sold worldwide through an extensive network of independent sales representatives and distributors, primarily to OEM customers in the fields of communications, computing, computer peripherals, instrumentation, industrial controls and military systems. Company headquarters are located at 5555 NE Moore Court, Hillsboro, Oregon 97124 USA; Telephone 503-268-8000, FAX 503-268-8037.
