LatticeECP3 FPGA Family and Processor Power Manager Nominated for EDN-China Innovation Awards From among hundreds of products submitted, the LatticeECP3 FPGA family has been nominated in the Programmable Logic category, and the Processor Power Manager (ProcessorPM) has been nominated in the Analog/Mixed Signal IC category.
The EDN China Innovation Awards program features nine categories in which nominees demonstrated innovation that resulted in a significant advance in technology and/or product development during the past 12 months. The finalists are chosen by readers visiting the EDN China web site who can cast their vote through to Sept. 21. EDN China will announce the winners at an awards ceremony in Shenzhen, China in November.
The mid-range, high value 65nm LatticeECP3 family offers the industry’s lowest power consumption and price of any SERDES-capable FPGA device. The LatticeECP3 FPGA family offers multi-protocol 3.2G SERDES with XAUI jitter compliance, DDR3 memory interfaces, powerful DSP capabilities, high density on-chip memory and up to 149K LUTS, all with half the power consumption and half the price of competitive SERDES-capable FPGAs.
A new member of the award-winning Power Manager II family, the ProcessorPM device is a programmable, single chip solution for the reset generation, watchdog timer and voltage supervision functions found in virtually every microprocessor or DSP design. While priced competitively with off-the-shelf three-supply supervisor ICs, the ProcessorPM device integrates the functions of reset generator ICs with variable pulse stretch timing, watchdog timer ICs running up to two minutes, and six-supply supervisor ICs.
Now in its 19th year, the EDN Innovation Awards honor the products and people that have shaped the electronics industry over the past year. In 2005, the Innovation Awards were introduced in China by EDN China. A combination of votes from experts and design engineers determines the winner. Like the EDN Innovation Awards, the EDN China Innovation Awards is held annually.
