e-Legacy Awards 2009 FinalistLatticeECP3 FPGA Family Named Finalist in Prestigious e-Legacy Awards Competition

The mid-range, low power LatticeECP3 FPGA family has been named a finalist in the highly regarded e-Legacy Awards competition sponsored by Electronic Product Design magazine. Lattice is one of six finalists for the coveted Environmental Design award, and is the only programmable logic company to be named a finalist in any of the competition’s award categories.

The Environmental Design award recognizes energy-saving or fuel/power-efficient electronic design. “Being a finalist for the Environmental Design award is a real honor, because low power, energy-saving FPGAs are getting a lot of attention these days,” said Sean Riley, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of High Density Solutions. “With all the programmable logic companies claiming leadership in low power, it says a lot that Lattice is the only programmable logic company to be named a finalist.”

Finalists were chosen by a panel of industry experts. Winners will be selected by the readers of Electronic Product Design magazine, who are invited to vote via e-mail, online and in print until November.

“We received a record number of entries this year, up by 12% on last year,” said Esther Waite on behalf of Electronic Product Design magazine. “The number of entries made the judges’ job in picking the finalists particularly difficult.  However, this has resulted in an excellent group of finalists in each category.”  Winners will be announced at the e-Legacy Awards luncheon at the Roof Gardens in Kensington, London on Wednesday, November 4.
