ispLEVER LogoispLEVER 7.1 Service Pack 1 Available Now

Update includes new 3rd party tools, integrated device configuration utility, support for new automotive products and more!

We’re pleased to announce the latest upgrade for the Lattice ispLEVER FPGA design software – version 7.1 Service Pack 1 (SP1). This important upgrade includes:

  • New 3rd party synthesis and simulation tools
  • Integration of the ORCAstra configuration utility
  • Reveal Logic Analyzer support for the Linux platform
  • Support for new automotive temperature grade LA-LatticeXP2 non-volatile FPGAs

A full listing of of the new features included with ispLEVER 7.1 SP1 is available here.

New 3rd Party Tools

ispLEVER 7.1 SP1 features the latest releases of Synposis® Synplify Pro® for Lattice v9.4L2 for Windows, Linux and UNIX platforms. This powerful synthesis tool ensures that all designers can get the best possible implementation of their designs in Lattice FPGAs. Also included for Windows users is the Active-HDL® Lattice Edition v8.1 simulation environment, including fast and powerful features and tools for FPGA design, verification and debug.

ORCAstra Configuration Utility

The ORCAstra configuration utility is a graphical user interface used to configure the operational mode of a FPGA by programming control bits in the on-chip registers. This helps hardware designers quickly explore many FPGA configuration options without going through a lengthy re-compile process or making changes to the target board. The integration of ORCAstra with ispLEVER tools allows for a more seamless design flow, and enables future expansion of ORCAstra capabilities.

Automotive Device Support

The LatticeXP2 non-volatile FPGA family combines the speed and flexibility of traditional FPGAs with the security and simplicity of a non-volatile solution. This innovative FPGA family is now available for design in the extreme automotive temperature range (-40C to +125C junction temperature) with the LA-LatticeXP2 automotive FPGA family. Service Pack 1 enables design for these additions to the LatticeXP2 FPGA family.

LatticeMico32 Open-Source Microprocessor

Available concurrent with ispLEVER 7.1 SP1 is a new release of the LatticeMico32 open-source microprocessor and associated LatticeMico32 System design environment. The LatticeMico32 is a 32-bit soft microprocessor optimized for Lattice FPGAs. This fast, flexible and efficient microprocessor is widely used in a diverse array of communications, consumer, computing, medical, industrial and automotive applications.

Availability

ispLEVER 7.1 Service Pack 1 is available now for all users of the ispLEVER 7.1 software. It can be downloaded via the ispUPDATE utility included with the ispLEVER 7.1 software, or directly via the Lattice website.
