October 2007In line with its objective to provide superior high speed programmable interface solutions, Lattice recently co-founded one forum and joined another.
The Road to 100G Alliance was formally announced on June 19 at the NXTcomm 2007 show in Chicago, Illinois. The founding members are Bay Microsystems, Enigma Semiconductor, Integrated Device Technology (IDT), IP Infusion (an Access Company), and Lattice Semiconductor.
The purpose of this non-profit entity is to provide seamless interoperability among the disparate, standards-based components required in building high capacity network elements, specifically in the 40G to 100G nodes.
We are looking for additional members to join from our user community to further the cause for developing an infrastructure of solutions to ease the R&D burden for component manaufacturers, OEMs, ODMs and service providers pariticpating in this arena.
Why join?
The HyperTransport Consortium is a membership-based, non-profit organization that manages, promotes and licenses HyperTransport Technology. The HyperTransport Consortium consists of over 40 industry-leading member companies and is open to any company interested in licensing the royalty-free use of HyperTransport technology and intellectual property.
Boasting the industry’s fastest implementation of HyperTransport technology in FPGA platforms to date and having previously characterized the HyperTransport I/O link to operate at rates up to 1.6 Gbps, Lattice recently joined the HyperTransport Consortium in order to take advantage of the broader solutions ecosystem available through this organization. This is an important step for Lattice as it develops its portfolio of HyperTransport-compliant silicon, boards and IP.
HyperTransport is a licensed trademark of the HyperTransport Technology Consortium in the U.S. and other jurisdictions.
