March 2008The Alliance plans to sponsor programs, events and communications relating to the development of several advanced networking platform solutions.
The Road to 100G Alliance was formed in June 2007 by market leaders in key networking component segments critical to delivering standards-compliant solutions to address a wide range of applications and system configurations. The Alliance provides a framework that encourages the development of comprehensive solutions optimized for high-density communications applications. Lattice is a founding member of the group.
The Alliance works to provide seamless interoperability among the disparate components required in building high capacity network elements. The Alliance is focused on aligning a cooperative ecosystem of technology suppliers to provide comprehensive solutions that enable network equipment OEMs to focus their internal development resources towards functionality that establishes system differentiation. The establishment of a 100G ecosystem serves network equipment vendors and their service provider customers with valuable services and facilitates the creation of a more aggressive next-generation networking infrastructure.
The Alliance will provide ongoing education, application support and common reference design data to accelerate the deployment of high performance enterprise, metro, carrier and long haul network solutions. It also plans to sponsor programs, events and communications relating to the validation of these advanced networking platforms. The Alliance will participate in the NXTcomm08 conference in June 16-19, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
