LA-ispMACH 4000ZAccelerate Your Time to Market with Low Cost Lattice Automotive Zero-Power CPLDs

Lattice expands its commitment to the automotive marketplace with the release of the AEC-Q100 qualified LA-ispMACH 4000Z automotive product family.

Automotive versions of Lattice's ispMACH 4000Z CPLD devices have been characterized and qualified to meet the certification requirements of the AEC-Q100 standard as defined by the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC). Designated the LA-ispMACH4000Z series, this family is the third release in the expanding line of programmable Lattice Automotive, or LA, devices joining the LA-ispMACH 4000V and LA-MachXO families released in 2006. Lattice can provide standard Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation to automotive customers.

Further emphasizing its focus on the automotive market, Lattice joined the AEC Technical Committee as an associate member and recently completed its ISO/TS-16949 certification (refer to article this issue).

The AEC-Q100 is defined by the AEC as a "Stress Test for Qualification for Integrated Circuits." The AEC-Q100 standard also includes customer specific requirements (CSR). ISO/TS-16949 is an international standards Automotive Quality Systems technical specification. Electronic system suppliers to the automotive market increasingly require that semiconductor suppliers be qualified for both AEC-Q100 and ISO/TS-16949 certification for their products.

LA-ispMACH 4000Z Automotive Family

The LA-ispMACH 4000Z CPLD automotive family offers low power and excellent performance and includes three devices with densities ranging from 32 to 128 macrocells and user I/Os ranging from 30 to 96. The LA-ispMACH 4000Z CPLDs are a flexible, low cost alternative to ASICs in automotive design.
