ISO/TS 16949 CertificationIndustry Quality Standard ISO/TS 16949 Certification

ISO/TS 16949 certification another milestone in Lattice's expanding commitment to the automotive market.

On December 4th Lattice announced it had achieved certification of its quality systems to Automotive Industry Quality Standard ISO/TS 16949. The certification is formal recognition that Lattice provides its automotive customers with programmable devices that meet rigorous standards for quality and reliability. Lattice has previously satisfied the stringent requirements of additional quality standards, including ISO 9001 and MIL-PRF-38535.

Lattice has provided both commercial and industrial programmable logic products to the automotive industry for many years and AEC-Q100 qualified devices for the past year. Lattice programmable devices are used in a growing number of applications, including Video Camera Systems, Telematics and Digital Radio. The ISO/TS-16949 certification of the Lattice quality systems marks yet another milestone in the expanding commitment to serve the automotive design industry, which includes dedicated automotive support personnel. The Lattice commitment to deliver "More of the Best" automotive design solutions will continue in 2007 with new AEC-Q100 qualified Power Manager and SRAM and Flash FPGA families, together with additional Intellectual Property cores targeted to the automotive industry.

About ISO/TS 16949

The ISO/TS 16949 was jointly developed by International Automotive Task Force (IATF) members and submitted to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for approval and publication March 1, 2002. The document is a common automotive quality system requirements catalog based on ISO 9001:2000, AVSQ (Italian), EAQF (French), QS-9000 (U.S.) and VDA6.1 (German) automotive catalogs. This document, coupled with customer-specific requirements, defines quality system requirements for use in the automotive supply chain.

About the Lattice Automotive Family

Currently, the Lattice Automotive (LA) programmable logic families include these AEC-Q100 qualified devices:

Lattice LA devices operate over the automotive temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.

Software and Programming Support

The LA-MachXO and LA-ispMACH 4000V devices are supported in our software platform, ispLEVER. Programming support is handled by Lattice's ispVM System software, which is downloadable from the Design Software page of the Lattice website.

Literature

Data sheets, technical notes and related literature for the LA-MachXO, LA-ispMACH 4000V and LA-ispMACH 4000Z Zero-Power device families can be found on the Lattice Automotive Devices page of the Lattice website.
