MachXO2 PLD Family Recognized by EDN Magazine as a "Hot 100" ProductEDN magazine has selected the MachXO2 PLD family as a 2011 "Hot 100" product. Recognition as a Hot 100 product is particularly coveted because there is no nomination process: instead, EDN's editors select from among thousands of new products those that in their judgment are particularly noteworthy.
MachXO2 devices provide designers of low density PLDs an unprecedented mix of low cost, low power and high system integration in a single, instant-on device. MachXO2 devices are available in both high performance and low power versions, suitable for system control and mobile consumer markets, respectively. Built on a low power 65-nm process featuring embedded Flash technology, the innovative MachXO2 family delivers a 3X increase in logic density, a 10X increase in embedded memory, and more than a 100X reduction in static power to as low as 19uW compared to the prior generation MachXO PLD family. These devices are ideal for control PLD applications in end markets such as telecom infrastructure, computing, high end industrial, high end medical, and low power applications such as smart phones, GPS devices and digital cameras.
