Accelerate Your Time to Market with Low Cost Lattice Automotive Devices
Lattice is in high-gear to achieve TS-16949 Automotive certification by Q4, 2006. In addition, Lattice is expanding its commitment to the automotive marketplace with the release of the AEC-Q100 qualified Lattice automotive product families, LA-MachXO and LA-ispMACH4000V.
Automotive versions of Lattice's MachXO™ Crossover Programmable Logic Devices and ispMACH™ 4000V CPLD devices have been characterized and qualified to meet the certification requirements of the AEC-Q100 standard as defined by the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC). Designated the LA-MachXO™ and LA-ispMACH™ 4000V product families, these are the first in what is planned to be an expanding line of programmable Lattice Automotive, or LA, devices. Lattice can provide standard Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation to automotive customers.
Further emphasizing its focus on the automotive market, Lattice joined the AEC Technical Committee as an associate member and is also aggressively seeking ISO/TS-16949 Quality Systems Certification by year end.
The AEC-Q100 is defined by the AEC as a "Stress Test for Qualification for Integrated Circuits." The AEC-Q100 standard also includes customer specific requirements (CSR). ISO/TS-16949 is an international standards Automotive Quality Systems technical specification. Electronic system suppliers to the automotive market increasingly require that semiconductor suppliers be qualified for both AEC-Q100 and ISO/TS-16949 certification for their products.
LA-MachXO Crossover Programmable Logic Devices support applications that traditionally have been addressed either by high density CPLDs or low capacity FPGAs, but with a more comprehensive and cost-effective architecture and technology. The automotive LA-MachXO family includes 256, 640, 1200 and 2280 LUT devices; with user I/O counts ranging from 78 to 271 I/O, and features such as on-chip memory and PLLs in the larger devices.
