NEW HILLSBORO LIBRARY RECEIVES
CONTRIBUTION FROM LATTICE SEMICONDUCTOR

– Contribution Reflects Lattice’s Community Relations Initiative –

HILLSBORO, OR – FEBRUARY 1, 2007 – With Lattice Semiconductor’s $15,000 donation for the new Hillsboro Library, Lattice will be named the donor of the library’s electronic message system. Lattice is pleased to support the new library and the expanded services it will provide to the community. The donation reflects the company's growing support of the greater Hillsboro community.

In order to maximize benefit, Lattice targets its support to programs and services that:

• are outcome-based and can demonstrate a lasting impact on the community and/or the individuals receiving services;
• use the professional expertise of Lattice's employees as volunteers; and 
• leverage the support received from Lattice to secure additional resources.
  

Lattice concentrates its activities in three areas:

• Education, especially programs that
  
  • promote interest, proficiency or basic literacy in math and science;
  • encourage innovative ways of developing logical reasoning skills; and 
  • improve the achievement of disadvantaged youth.
    

• Human and Social Services, especially programs that
  
  • provide basic needs, such as food and shelter, to people in crisis;
  • promote self-sufficiency or improve employment skills; and 
  • promote the welfare of at-risk youth.
    

• Health, especially programs that
  
  • support patients in living independently;
  • support preventive care; and 
  • promote research on health issues faced by large numbers of individuals in the community.
