Lattice Semiconductor Announces Opening of New Corporate Headquarters and R&D Facility

  • Company's Rapid Growth Spurs Opening of New 110,000 Sq. Ft. Corporate Headquarters and R&D Facility in Hillsboro, Oregon

HILLSBORO, OR - MAY 1, 2000 - Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC) today announced the opening of its new 110,000 square foot corporate headquarters and R&D facility. The new building will accommodate future expansion of the Research & Development, Corporate Marketing and Administrative functions. Existing buildings will be re-deployed to allow for manufacturing expansion to support growing customer demand. Lattice will host its employees, local government officials, business partners and other guests at an official dedication ceremony today.

"Lattice Semiconductor is the largest Oregon-based semiconductor company with annualized sales revenue in excess of $500 million. Our rapid growth coupled with our June 1999 acquisition of Vantis Corporation has created the need for a larger facility," said Cyrus Tsui, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Today's opening celebration is a small way of expressing our appreciation for the support we have received from our employees, community and business partners without whom we could not continue to provide innovative products to our worldwide customers in the electronics industry. We are proud of our Oregon roots and pleased to be able to make additional investments in facilities and employees here in Hillsboro."
